The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning, especially when the weather was clear. It was definitely the highlight of our stay. Another positive aspect was the excellent service provided by the hotel staff. They were friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist us with any requests or inquiries. Additionally, the onsen at the hotel was a great way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The hot springs were clean and not crowded, allowing for a peaceful and enjoyable experience.
One downside was the limited options for dining at the hotel. While there were a few restaurants to choose from, some of them were quite expensive, making it difficult to find affordable dining options.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at The Windsor Hotel Toya Resort & Spa. The staff at the front reception, especially Miss Tamamu, were incredibly helpful. They booked my snow village experience and even tried to secure seats for me. The snow village itself was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, even for non-skiers like me. The dinner at the tepan yski restaurant was beautiful and the service by Sous chef Kon and server Miyaharasan was exceptional. Their English was the best I've encountered in Japan. I'll never forget that night. I highly recommend this hotel.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Windsor Hotel Toya Resort & Spa for four nights and it was an incredible experience. The outdoor onsen was absolutely breathtaking, especially when we used it in the snow. The views from the hotel were also stunning, and we couldn't get enough of them. We were pleased to find a Korean staff member who was incredibly helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. The peaceful atmosphere of the hotel allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in nature while still enjoying modern amenities. The restaurants in the hotel were top-notch, with a standout breakfast at the western restaurant and an unforgettable dinner at Michel Bras. The lake view from our room was fantastic and all the services provided were of high quality.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Spent xmas at a hotel in a remote location. The complementary shuttle service to and from Snow Village was appreciated as it was one of the few activities available. Also, the complimentary bottle of champagne in the room was a nice touch. The snowy mountain surroundings were picturesque.
The hotel was too isolated and far from any attractions or activities. There was no convenience store nearby and the hotel prices were exorbitant.

Spent xmas at a luxury hotel in northern Japan. The holiday decor was lovely and festive. Enjoyed the beautiful lake view from the room and the snow activities offered onsite. Staff appeared pleasant and attentive.
The price for food was extremely high and options were limited. Despite the hotel's remote and exclusive location, the quality of food was not up to standard.

I had the most amazing stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and had the most breathtaking view of Mt Yotai and Toya lake. The hotel facilities were top-notch, and I especially loved the outdoor Onsen. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially when I used it while it was snowing outside. The location of the hotel was perfect too, nestled in the mountains with easy access to the Toya area. The breakfast at Gilligan's Island was delicious and of high quality. I was extremely satisfied with the cleanliness, facilities, location, and staff of this hotel.
Not one thing.
